Meet your guide in central Uzès at 8:45am, then head into the town’s bustling food markets to begin your 6-hour culinary experience. Wander among the stalls and shops, and admire fine displays of local produce such as bread, cheese, hams, olives, and sweet treats.

During your market visit, share cooking ideas with your guide and — based on the fresh, seasonal produce you find — decide on the menu for your cooking class later. Afterward, hop into your vehicle and head onward to the cooking school to start prepping!

With helpful tips and advice from your instructor, work together as a group and bring all those fresh flavors to the fore. Prepare a delicious appetizer, main course, and dessert, and pick up plenty of expert tips and techniques along the way.

Sip a traditional French aperitif as your food cooks in the oven, and listen as your instructor explains how to match the food with wine. Then, sit down to your delicious 3-course home-cooked lunch — accompanied by French wine and cheeses.

Prepare yourself for a 5-6 hour class dedicated to fish and seafood. With your professional chef, learn how to prepare some of the most famous Mediterranean seafood dishes in the French market. You'll start with a visit of the Saint Quentin Friday Market to select your fish for the day. Back at the school, in your small group, of no more then 6 people, prepare classical dishes such as bouillabaisse and brandade-de-morue. If you do not wish to have fish - you can prepare something else.

Meet your chef in Uzès at 8:45am and begin driving to the Saint-Quentin Market, where you will shop for produce, that will be used back in class, to create your lunch.
When you think Mediterranean cuisine, fish and shellfish often come to mind.  For this class you will meet the chef, directly at the French cooking school in Arpaillargues (just 5 minutes from Uzès). This is a hands-on cooking experience in the preparation of several well-known Mediterranean and Provencal fish dishes. Put your fears of fish aside, you'll leave this class feeling confident and knowledgeable.
In this class, you will prepare some of the most popular dishes some of which you have undoubtedly seen on many a restaurant menu such as Bouillabaisse, Brandade de Morue, and squid salad. You will also use some typically consumed fish and shellfish to cook in a Mediterranean style - that means using tomatoes, basil, fresh green pepper, garlic, olive oil, eggplant and more.
This will be an all cooking experience during which you will learn how to handle fish, filet them, make a fish stock and learn to make sauces that will accompany various fish dishes. With the exception of the Morue (cod), all the fish and seafood we will use are Mediterranean.
You will also make a quick dessert to accompany your lunch.
After you have finished cooking, sit down, eat, and enjoy your meal with Provençal wines. Polish it all off with your yummy dessert.
At approximately 2:45pm, return in comfort to central Uzès, where your tour will come to an end.

A French desserts class focusing on the ingredients of the South of France.

 Come join us for the delicious and decadent desserts known in this corner of the South of France. Think fruits, nuts and olive oil. In this class we will delve into desserts such as the nougat glacé, the fougasse d'aigues mortes and use ingredients like safran & lavender.

We will make 5 desserts in this 3-hour class including both individual and family-size. You will be able to take home whatever you don't eat in class.

You'll meet the chef directly at the school for this 3-hour dessert class.

You will learn how to make individual desserts as well as a large dessert serving 6-8 people, all easy to reproduce at home. All the recipes you will learn will be based on seasonal, fresh ingredients.

We will make 5 awe inspiring desserts together that though relatively easy to make will be both elegant and tasty. You can expect a chocolate-based dessert, mignardise (trifles and petits fours), seasonal fruit dessert, a larger family-size dessert, a frozen dessert . . .

You will have a chance to taste your creations and whatever you don't finish you will take home with you.
