Take a rest of skiing and enjoy one of the most beautiful cities in Rhone-Alpes region - Annecy. The city is located at the northern top of Lake Annecy and is often called “Venice of the Alps” or “Pearl of French Alps”. You will have a chance to truly see the beauty of the city and learn about its rich history.
The visit will start with getting to know the beginning of the city. You will visit Annecy Castle and Palais de l’Ille. The castle served as a medieval defense system, but with renaissance elegance combination - inspired by castles in other French regions. Palais de l’Ile, built on a naturally rocky island, periodically served as a prison. There is also a museum located in the building of the castle, which you will have a chance to see.
After learning the information about the history of city, you will gain more knowledge by visiting the old town. The tour assistant will show you around the city to the most unique places. Don’t rush and have free time to spend at your own pace. Have a cup of hot chocolate or try delicious snacks in romantic and beautiful cafes in the old town.
